Meet the Stables Equine Practice team, horsemen and women. We speak your language.

The Team all have knowledge and understanding of horses, including the emotional ups and downs of horse ownership and the highs and lows of the competition world!
By having dedicated equine vets looking after your horses and ponies, we know that you (our clients) are receiving care and advice that you can trust. All our vets can be contacted directly on their mobiles and are happy to discuss problems and give advice, a service which puts your mind at ease.
For appointments and general enquiries, our office hours are 9am -5pm Mon – Fri. Our aim is that you speak to a human not a machine, but this isn’t always possible at busy times and we endeavor to call you back as soon as we can.
BSc (Hons) Equine Science
Sarah worked in racing yards, trained young horses and retrained ex racers for many years before moving back to office work. She is happy to be combining her passions of horses and science!
She loves the unpredictability of her job, never knowing what the next phone call will bring. As Senior Receptionist she oversees the growing team of lovely receptionists and loves that the whole team muck in together, sometimes going out to emergencies with the vets.
After her ex racehorse, Slippers broke his jaw in a freak accident five years ago, they do endurance events when they can, barefoot and bit-less! Sarah and her husband also keep Blue faced Leicester sheep.
Receptionist / Administrator
Carolynne joined the office staff of the Stables Equine Practice in August 2008. She enjoys the variety of work in the ‘all-purpose built’ clinic and meeting the clients as it is so nice to ‘put names to the faces’ be it the human or the Equine Clients.
Receptionist / Administrator
Charlotte joined the practice in January 2019 with over ten years office/admin experience.
She enjoys everything about her job from dealing with clients to chatting to horses. Charlotte grew up in Wells and recently moved to Wookey, just a stones-throw from the practice and her horses are kept in the village. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her partner, their 3 spoilt dogs and two and a half horses; Emmy the Connemara Mare, Ted an Irish Draught Gelding and Candy the naughty Shetland.
Equine Receptionist / Administrator
Julie joined the practice team this year. She grew up in the cooler climates of the North in Lancashire and recently relocated to Somerset.
Outside work, she is kept busy with both her own and the family’s horses and enjoys helping at her local Riding Club.
